This 5-week training combines simple mindfulness meditation techniques and scientific psychological insights on managing stress, negative emotions, worrying, and health issues.
Mindfulness involves being present and attentive to what is happening in the current moment in a non-judgmental, non-reactive manner. Through various mindfulness and movement exercises (including gentle yoga) and self-observation, you learn to maintain inner balance, be kinder and more caring to yourself, and overall be more aware in life. Scientific studies of this mindfulness-based intervention confirm a beneficial effect on quality of life and well-being in areas such as stress, anxiety, worrying, negative thoughts, sleep problems, chronic fatigue, and pain.
During the sessions, meditation exercises are taught, and education is provided on mindfully dealing with physical, emotional, and mental experiences. It is not a theoretical course, therapy, or discussion group, but a practical training focused on practice.
